Senior 3D Artist


Viximo is building a rich creative community and a massively scalable service to deliver content over the web that helps creators, developers, and site owners monetize social interactions. Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for a significant portion of the look & feel for Viximo’siPhone applications, games, and next generation virtual goods.
  • You will be a generalist with responsibility for 3D content workflow including modeling (both characters and environments), texturing, and animation.
  • You will work closely with the engineering team to define and refine the 3D content pipeline.
  • You will manage and critique the work of both internal and outsourced art staff

Qualifications:

  • You must have 5+ years of experience as a 3D game artist and at least one shipped title
  • You must be an expert user of either Maya or 3D Studio Max and Photoshop (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs)
  • You must have an exceptional understanding of how to create compelling characters and environments that appeal to our core demographic of 18-26 year old female users
  • You must have a superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps
  • Experience with casual games is a strong plus
  • Skill in one more of related creation tasks (illustration, UI design, concept drawing, etc.) is a strong plus

This is a full-time position, on-site at our offices in Cambridge, MA.
