Senior Flash/Flex Engineer


Viximo is building a rich creative community and a massively scalable service to deliver content over the web that helps creators, developers, and site owners monetize social interactions. Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for defining the next generation of virtual gifts and goods for Viximo’s virtual goods platform
  • You will work closely with a team of Flash artists to build cutting edge Flash interactive experiences and applications
  • Design skills are a strong plus, but not necessary since you will be working with a world-class team of Flash artists

Qualifications:

  • You must have a strong software engineering background and a deep knowledge of Flash development using Actionscript 3.0.
  • You must have 3+ years of experience developing cutting edge Flash applications and an intimate knowledge of the graphical/animation capabilities of Flash.
  • You must have experience integrating with a server backend; experience with REST or SOAP-based server APIs is a strong plus
  • You should have experience developing rich application UI's using Adobe Flex 2.0/3.0
  • Knowledge of Javascript/AJAX/XHTML/C is a strong plus
  • Experience at a high-end interactive design agency or developing casual Flash games is a strong plus.

This is a full-time position, on-site at our offices in Cambridge, MA.
